Stepping an F32 Hoyt mast?

I bought my F32 in the fall with the mast already down. The owner’s manual may not match the parts that are onboard. It refers to a wedge, which might be the thick neoprene spacer in the picture below. There is also a thin neoprene spacer that looks like it was inside the collar (judging by the left-over silicon sealant) but doesn’t seem to fit there. Does anyone have a quick description or photo of how these parts go together? I do not know of any other Freedom owners near where I live in Nova Scotia, so I can’t easily just go and have a look.

Hi I dont have the thin neoprene spacer on mine but the thicker one looks like the one i have. Mine is approx 1 inch short of filling the circumference of the mast there is another rubber wedge pushed in to fill gap. I dont know if this is original but appears to be so. I have found it can work its way down the mast a little. I plan at some stage replacing with spartite or equivalent. Another thing to look at is the the bolt holes that connect the the tophat to step as i have found my holes are slightly elongated. Am going to epoxy fill and re drill. Another common problem is the mast wears internally where it slided on to tophat allowing mast to rotate a little. You will find information in archives.
