Tartan 4600 Purchase

I am considering purchasing a 1993-1996 Tartan 4600 and would
appreciate suggestions/pros/cons/insights from current and previous
owners. I am particulary interested in the twin cockpit layout and
would appreciate comments on that model. I currently own a Freedom
Yacht and my wife and I are looking towards retiring aboard the 4600
and cruising part of the year in a couple years. Thanks in advance for
your help.

Opps, well, I guess my dirty little secret is out, I am considering a
Tartan. My previous message just now was meant for the Tartan board. If
any one wants to talk me out of looking at a Tartan, pls do. I have
also looked at Freedom 45’s and haven’t made any hard decisions as yet.
