Hi friends. We acquired Blue Moon last September and are enjoying her immensely. If the helmsperson has one problem it is the throttle control: in forward there is no response until the handle reaches 3 o’clock, parralel to the deck. Has anyone experienced and made improvements?

My yamnar was the same also not making revs under load replaced mechanical lift pump for electric pump now much more responsive and starts first press and reaches 3500 under load
Our 4040 doesn’t do that. It responds at about 1 oclock and is responsive after that. Maybe it’s a cable issue? Maybe it’s too loose at the engine? We never had to adjust ours and it’s been the same for 10 years. I’m hoping someone with more knowledge responds to you.
