A user reported that his system was infected with a virus, and it pointed, in part, to file(s) that may have come from the Freedom forum. As a result, I scanned the forum with 2 scanners and, to be safe, completely reinstalled the Discourse software that runs it.
Scanners aren’t foolproof, so if anyone’s system detects a virus/trojan, please let me know the specifics of what it found (post, file, etc).
It’s a scary world out there, so practice good cybersecurity!
