I have a Freedom 45 built in 1990. The water heater is positioned under the
engine on the
port side, and not easily accessible. There appears to be no manufacturers name
visible, and
the heating coil has burned out. Ouch! Does anyone out there know what water
heaters
Freedom installed around that time?

I don’t think that it matters who made your waterheater as the heater
elements all seem to be the same size. Just make sure that you have
the right length and wattage.

Hi Debbie-
I have a 1992 dual element. One side burned out and I could not find one that had the same head shape for mounting (screw hole pattern and locations were all different). I rewired it to by-pass the burnt out element, and have been functioning will on one element. I need to follow-up and search some more for a replacement, but it may take a while.

My 1981 Freedom 40 CK had a SensDure (SP) for the original water heater. I replaced it with an Isotemp. On Tue, Apr 22, 2008 at 2:27 PM, Geoffrey Schultz <geoff.freedom@…> wrote:
