What is hull number

Hello everyone.
Me and husband are the new owners of Freedom 40. Can someone help us to decrypt the number we found on tansom, please. It’s TSPFF0181078. Also inside the engine room we found another number which is NO604500 NET 15. What are the meanings of these numbers?

The first number shown is your HIN (hull identification number) The first 3 digits are the Manufacturer’s Identification Code (ex. Boat brand such as Sea Ray, Meridian, etc.). The 4 digits after that are the manufacturer’s serial number for the boat. The 3rd and 4th digits from the end are the date of manufacture. The letter on the date of the manufacture corresponds to the month of the year, i.e. A = January, B = February, C = March and so forth. The last two digits of the HIN number represent the model year.

The second number is your boats USCG Documentation number (a documented vessel)

The last “15” is 15 gross registered tons

For the HIN:

TSP = Tillotson Pearson (manufacturer)
FF = Model ID
018 = Hull number
1078 = Manufactured Oct 1978
