We’ve pulled the cockpit table for repair. Any thoughts on what the stainless do? There is a threaded hole with real coarse thread.
You should have some bolts on board that have a black plastic knob on the end so you can tighten them just by hand. The bolts compress the cockpit table down to the deck to prevent it from rattling and i guess from lifting up if someone was to pull on it in a weird angle.
Oohh how hard was it to remove those? Mine are kind of tired but still holding up.
Philips head, 2” bolts buried in thirty year old silicone and inaccessible behind the plywood backing for the liner.
It took two of us an hour to remove. The install and rerig of the new cleat is a different challenge. We used waxed sailmaker thread sewn through the end of the sheet to pull it through.
That sounds about what I figured. This is called “getting to know your new boat” :).
