What r the isues should b looking for in buying a Freedom 30

Aside from the regular issues that u would check on a 30 year old boat what r some of the special issues I should b looking at in a Freedom boat. In particular the mast and the cored hulls

We bought the ‘95 F4040, Bleu Moon, last August. Last September, while at her mooring, the headstay parted.
No big whoop. We sailed to Cuttyhunk that day. It would have been a very different experience if underway and in the typical 12-15 knots on Buzzard’s.
