WiFi and Starlink

Ok, back to the wifi and Starlink question - i’m at the boat weekly, spend the night and leave for home sometime the following day….I have had 3 options for wifi at dock and one option if anchored option 1 has been wifi roaming, option 2 has been (at the dock) using free marina wifi, and option 3 has been ( at the marina) paying for premium wifi Roaming is fine for email, texting, and some intermittent streaming, especially Netflix -although that typically glitches quickly, option two is useless altogether, option 3 is super glitchy laden , video is grainy and wifi drops easily. So i bought Starlink Mini - $232 through the company on a promotion i choose the roaming $50 per month fee and 100 GB.I bought an inexpensive adjustable rail mount and temporarily mounted the SL on my stern rail, the cable is loose

for now but will run it inside the boat to my electrical panel if all works well Tested just now all works but ill need to see how much data i eat up tonight watching a movie! Let you know I have a 30 day money back offer on the starlink mini! We’ll See!— forgot to add the power data- with starlink connected to tv, phone and ipad, having watching a 2 hr movie - i used 4.2 GB, my cvictron monitor is showing between 0-2 watts while plugged into shore power - that is with the disei heater in full— I’m sure my inverter and shore power were hiding my true power usage Ill try this at anchor next.
