Worldwide Freedom Boat Swapping?

Posted by Michel Capel (mike_c_f35ck@…>)

A few years back I suggested on this board to create a boat swapping
group specifically for Freedoms. We could exchange our boats and/or
homes for a few weeks to be able to sail in a totally different place.
At this time, I have no boat to swap, but I do have a nice 100 yr old
Dutch farmhouse at 15 minutes driving from Amsterdam.

I am interested in your farm. Might you be interested in our condo across the
Ohio River from Cincinnati and access to my F-21 on a nearby lake? I also have
an apartment in Durham, North Carolina, and another boat on Lake Kerr, which is
near here.

I have a Freedom 36/38 on Narragansett Bay (near Newport, then out to Martha’s
Vineyard Nantucket Cape Cod, possible Maine etc. which my wife and I might
consider trading for your farmhouse. Please contact us off the board at

I have a Freedom 36/38 in Bellingham, WA State, at the
mouth of the San Juan and Gulf Islands. And a nice two
bedroom two bath condo with bay and Island views and
most high tech services and devices. Would consider
swapping out both for whatever, later in the Fall, or
better,
any season next year. Condo is in a rural village area
below old historic Fairhaven district. A yuppified but
fun
place. Boat is perennially in her slip (we don’t haul
them
out here on the left coast, for the winter.) A swappee
could have both, or just one. Can cruise in most
seasons.

Maybe we could put up a swap list, or a
meet-your-other-Freedom-owners-fans around theglobe
list somewhere?
