If you belong to ANY Yahoo! Groups (you do as you are reading this) -
be aware that Yahoo! is now using “Web Beacons” to track every Yahoo!
Group user. They’re similar to cookies, but allow Yahoo! to record
every Web site and every group you visit, even when you’re not
connected to Yahoo!.
Look at its updated privacy statement regarding “Web Beacons”
http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/beacons/details.html
In that section find a little “Click Here to Opt Out” link that will
let you “opt-out” of its snooping. Be careful NOT to click on the next
button shown. It is an “Opt Back In” button that, if clicked, will
UNDO the opt-out.
Note that Yahoo!'s invasion of your privacy - and your ability to
opt-out of it - is not user-specific. It is MACHINE specific. That
means you will have to opt-out on every computer (and browser) you use.

The only one who can get rid of the spam is the moderator. I moderate
a YahooGroup myself - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DIYsailors/
We’re dedicated to repair and maintenance issues for all sailboats and
we even have a token powerboater or two. To prevent spam I don’t give
anyone unmoderated posting privilege unless they give me some
background information when they sign up. If I get a request to join
and the guy tells me he has a has a Catalina 27 that he’s restoring he
gets unmoderated access. If they don’t give me any background their
posts are moderated until they make it clear they are boaters or
interested in boats.
How’s that new boat Michel? I was looking at some pics of your 35 and
it’s interesting to compare with the US built F-33’s. Do you have
anyphotos of the interior?
