Yanmar panel alarm buzzer

Posted by ajlorman (ajlorman@…>)

One of the items I lost when a nearby lightning strike fried
everything electronic on my F30 was the Yanmar B panel alarm buzzer.
Yanmar being Yanmar, the replacement buzzer is $167. Has anyone
replaced the buzzer? Did anyone try a plain old Radio Shack buzzer
for $10?

Al
Sonalert, is a
piezo/electric device, low power and small. They are a little smaller
then the Yanmar, but should work. I have used them as oil pressure alarms
for cars and motorcycles on which they were in the weather. Web search
will find lots of outlets, but I would recommend an electronic outlet if possible.
