Yanmar parts

From whom do you get you Yanmar diesel parts from? I’ve tried Torresen
Marine; but surely there is a more responsive, timely, and accurate
supplier.

I found Torresen to be all that you negated. Perhaps they have had a change in
staff, but they were better than my local Yanmar dealer.

You can order directly from the yanmar US distributors I believe. They’ve certainly been very helpful answering questions on the phone. In my region its www.mackboring.com .

To update: Chris at Torresen has contacted me since my last post. He
was very helpful and showed me that good customer service was
important to them.

Barbara at Golden State Diesel in Oakland, California is very good to
deal with. She’s been running the business on her own for many years
and knows her stuff. Tell her I said hello if you deal with her.
Fortunately I’ve got decent spares inventory that came with our boat
so I’m crossing my fingers that we don’t need her for anything.

Dave, thats amazing! I use her too! and can agree she’s great. Its
pretty wierd though, I live in New Mexico (boat in Northern
California) and Yanmar central says she is the person that serves New
Mexico. I’m probably her only customer in the state.
